Publisher's Note

Winter 2011

Fall 2011

We hope you enjoy reading about the amazing dogs, inspiring role models, and special stories featured in the fall 2011 issue. Have a wonderful day!

Summer 2011

Instead of writing a long-winded publisher’s note for the summer issue that you may or may not read, I’d rather compose a very tempting “to-do” list for you and your dog to indulge in this summer! Life is short, so make sure you seize the moment, enjoy every day, and spend quality time with family, good friends, and canine kids!

Winter 2010

We hope you enjoy our winter/holiday issue with all the incredible dogs featured with a job! These canines just live to help others, and it's very refreshing and inspiring to see so many talented dogs working for charities, raising money for worthy causes, and truly making a difference in the lives of others - people and dogs!

Fall 2010

Have you dreamed of starting a business, being your own boss, and do ing something you love? Is 2010 the year you’re going to step outside the box and think beyond the nine dots—or think outside the litter box and get out of the crate? Do you want to make your passion - for pets -   your business?

Summer 2010

Yippee! Summer is right around the corner! WOOF! Cassie here. I just wanted to bark a huge hello to all the wonderful readers of The American Dog. It’s been a year and three months now since my mom, Jamie Downey, publisher of this magazine, adopted me out of a kill shelter in Illinois.
